Your pool professional keeps your swimming pool in top shape. But twice each year you need a pool checkup to make sure you’re getting the most from your investment.
Think of it like a visit to the dentist. You brush and floss every day (you do, don’t you?) But you still need to have a thorough dental checkup every six months. Your dentist makes sure your teeth and gums are deep cleaned, and addresses any issues before they become big, expensive problems.
Your partners in pool care want to make sure your pool is ready whenever you are. Performing a pool checkup is the best way to do just that.
Here are 5 reasons you need a pool checkup:
1. Your DE Filter Needs Cleaning.
Your DE filter is the most efficient pool filter on the market. It can trap particles as small as 4 microns. By comparison, a red blood cell is 8 microns!
Over time, deposits of gunk and grime built up in the DE filter. This buildup isn’t removed by backwashing. Your pool professional must drain the tank and do a chemical soaking of the filter grids to remove this gunk. If the buildup is not removed, increased pressure will be put on the grids and shorten their lifespan.
2. Your Salt Cell Does, Too
Calcium is attracted to the electrically charged plates in the salt cell. This causes a buildup of mineral deposits that can damage the plates and lead to cell failure.
Your pool professional will clean your salt cell plates with muriatic acid to eliminate mineral deposits. This will extend the life of the salt cell and its efficiency, and prevent an expensive repair.
3. Night Time is the Right Time
Have you ever been ready to go for a night swim only to realize that your pool or spa light doesn’t work? Goodbye relaxing night swim.
Imagine hosting a nighttime pool party only to find out your pool lights aren’t working. Nothing says buzzkill like forgetting to check your lighting before your guests arrive.
Your pool checkup includes a complete inspection of your automation system and lighting setup. We want to make sure than when you hit the lights, it’s party time.
4. We Bring the Heat
Lighting isn’t the only thing that could impact your fun. No one likes to plan a big pool party on a cold night only to have the heat pump not come on like it’s supposed to!
A biannual pool checkup includes an inspection of your pool heat pump and/or gas heater. We will diagnose any error codes so that your pool is warm in the winter.
5. It’s Our Best Deal of the Year
Professional Aquatic Services wants to show you what a true partner in pool care can be. That’s why we’ve doubled the service and decreased the price on our pool checkup!
Instead of one maintenance checkup per year, we now offer two visits per year. This will keep your pool in top shape when you use it the most – summer and winter.

You want to enjoy your pool on your schedule. We want to help. Are you ready for your pool checkup? Your swimming pool is.
